Hey Shaggy, you crazy smoking mofo! This one's for you!


Hey Bro! How's it going? I was going to write you directly, but figured I'd cover it all now, so i can only have to write one message. Ha Ha! I'm on Lcpl Stephens laptop.

Well, getting to Okinawa was fun. We flew forever, and finally made it to camp foster for recieving. After a few days there checking in, I got to get to the third intel Barracks 2610, rm 310. I'm going to need your mailing address to send you a letter and for you to mail me your motivation music. heh heh heh! It took forever to get issued everything I needed. I ran into some old friends here, and thats been nice. Stephens is my room mate, and souza and abraham live right across the hall.

We did two cool things yesteday. We got our gear issue as well as community service. Gear issue was pretty bad ass, and I'll tell you about it! They issued me my flack jacket, ammo pouches, grenade pouches, a gas mask, a kevlar helmet, an alice pack, sleeping bag, camel pack, canteens, day pack, KABAR knife holder, and some other crazy stuff. I was so stoked. I put everything on. We even got blast goggles and safty goggles. I'm enjoying this far too much. When I take a lot of pictures this weekend or something, I'll upload them for you and my other buddies.

The community event was fun. Twas land scapping in front of the base with some Japanese locals. First time I ever got to have a convo in japanese! They understood what I said, and I could understand them too!!! It motivated me to study harder! Glad I brought all those books and everything.

The rooms here are really nice. They are much bigger then I thought they would be, with storage room everywhere! I have everything pretty squared away. I got my lcpl cheverons recently. I'll probably get promoted soon. My NCO's seem to like me. I study and work hard for them and I enjoy it. The mindnumbing task can be pretty fun, and I'm striving to read up on everything about my areas of responsibility. There is just so much to learn and I want to know it all to do the best job I can and to save lives.

Well, I guess I'm going to go return this laptop and everything. Hope you read this, bro. Take it easy. I miss you and your guitar playing! I found some nice ones here, so I might buy one when I have some cash. Laptop first!!! XD! Peace out!
